The Balancing Siphon Coffee Maker was invented back in 19th century in the Europe. The process involves using an Spirit Burner to boils the water inside the Vacuum Flask to 212° F / 100°C.
Boiled water is forces through the pipette and into the Brewing Flask by the vapor pressure in the Vacuum Flask as it boiled. Water temperature is slightly lost as it travels from the Vacuum Flask to the Brewing flask. Which in turn, making it an ideal temperature for steeping the coffee grounds.
As water leave the Vacuum Flask, it is lifted by the counter weight. As it rises, it released the Spirit Burner’s extinguisher cap and extinguish the flame. Strong vacuum is soon formed as the temperature drops in the Vacuum Flask. In the meanwhile, it provides just the right amount of time for percolation before the strong vacuum literally siphons every bit of the extracted essence from the coffee grounds back. Coffee grounds are effectively filtered away in the Brewing Flask by the cloth filter in the process.
Break the Vacuum Flask’s vacuum by loosening the top plug, turn on the faucet and share that splendid cup of Joe. The entire process is visual spectacular and the coffee brewed can best be described as “clean”, great purity of flavor, aromatic with no bitterness added during the brewing process.
